Gencon is less than a week away! Here are the things I'll be looking out for:
Eclipse Phase -- Transhumanist RPG. I was intrigued by the teasers they had for this last year so I'll have to check it out. I wonder if it can do Iain M. Banks' Culture, Richard K. Morgan's Kovacs novels or even John C. Wright's Golden Age?
Do -- Check out StoryGames.com or EvilHat.com's blog. This is a story game inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender and looks like it will have some amazing art. And it uses Go pieces! I doubt this will be out yet, but it's worth a look.
Vanguard -- This started out as Galactic (I've been seeing references to it on various message boards for a year now), a sci-fi story game by the same guy who did Primetime Adventures. There's a free playtest pdf out and I hope to get an ashcan hardcopy next week.
Action Castle -- I have no idea what this is, but the logo on StoryGames.com is pretty cool. EDIT: looks like this is based on the Parsely game where you play an rpg in the same way you would Zork.
Weird War II -- This is the Savage Worlds version of the old d20 Weird War II. There were some great playtest posts on the Pinnacle message boards which have been removed that really got me jazzed about this game. I'll definitely pick it up.
